BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Swimming teams traveled to Lynn to take on the Fighting Knights in Sunshine State Conference action on Friday morning. The Sharks women's team defeated Lynn 116-89, while the men were victorious 147-58.

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN
- Celina Marquez, Savanna Best, Aleksandra Maslova, and Solana Capalbo teamed up to claim the victory in the 200-yard medley, finishing in a time of 1:45.10, three seconds ahead of the second-place team.
- Estelle Bauer placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle, earning the third consecutive win for NSU to begin the dual, finishing an incredible 35-seconds in front.
- Brady Estrada came in third-place in the 1000-yard freestyle, adding three points to the Sharks total.
- Cassie Wright earned a win in the 50-freestyle, finishing in 24.94.
- Best recorded her first individual victory of the meet, edging out Lynn's Ewa Osiniak in the 100-IM.
- Aleksandra Maslova paced the field in the 100-butterfly, earning a win for the Sharks with a time of 56.40
- Marquez recorded an individual win of her own, taking the victory in the 100-backstroke for NSU.
- Bauer, the length swimmer for Nova Southeastern, won the 500-freestyle for her second victory of the dual.
- Best later added another win in the 100-breaststroke, completing the race three seconds before her opponents.
- Wright, Capalbo, Estrada, and Bauer were victorious in in the 200-freestyle relay, picking up 11-points for the Sharks.
HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN
- Martin Hemminghyth, Jarryd Baxter, Steven Aimable, and Anton Mueller earned a win for the Sharks in the 200-medley.
- Luca Alessandrini won the 1000-freestyle for NSU, finishing in under 10-minutes to earn the victory. He later followed with a win in the 500-free.
- Mueller added a victory in the 50-free for the Sharks, recording nine points for NSU.
- Alessandro Xella, Juan Zapata, and Spencer Hohm placed first, second, and third, respectively, in the 100-IM for NSU, adding a total of 16 points for the Sharks.
- Aimable also added an individual victory for Nova Southeastern, placing first in the 100-freestyle.
- Hemminghyth won the 100-backstroke, finishing nearly two-seconds before Ben Moers. The duo added 13 points to the NSU total.
- Xella placed first in the 100-breaststroke, claiming another victory for NSU.
- Aimable, Hemmighyth, Kaden Mackey and Muellers also won the 200-relay for NSU to close out the dual.

NSU will host St. Thomas University in a dual meet from the NSU Aquatics Complex on Sat., 11/13, beginning at 10 a.m. The Sharks welcome back their alumni to celebrate Homecoming Weekend with an alumni celebration.
